weightlifting but lately have pain/sore right side of ribcage?
hi i've been weight lifting for around 6 months now and about 2 weeks now, i've begun to get pain just under my arm near the middle near the ribcage on the right side of my body, it feels like a stabing pain when i lean into a side, even when i'm sitting or standing and i bend to the right i get the pain?
i usually go for 3 sets of 15 reps, of a standing overhead press, with about 30kg on the bar,
then 3 sets of 15, with the same weight on a bar with my hand towards the centre on the bar i bring the weight to my pelvic region then lift words my chest with my hands facing words me all the time,
then 1 set of 15 with bar, 30kg, of bicep curls,
and usually use the dumbells with bout 10kg on them to do bout 150 regs,
thats it i usually do some pull ups on a bar,,,
but what am i doing wrong and how is it that i've just now begun to get the pain? help please!!!!
Sometimes, you just have to rest it until it heals even if it takes weeks. You could also try just doing lots of bicep curls and a few bench presses. Cut out any overhead exercises or anything unusual. You just have to take it easy until it heals.
