Photos of Waterfront Tower

The newest addition to the Southwest real estate market, Waterfront Tower, is now open for business. The I.M. Pei tower on the corner of M and 3rd Street has opened a leasing office on the second floor of the building. Mayhood Company is handling the selling agent for the condos.

Abdo Construction remodeled the tower, complete with a new outdoor fence and a resurfaced parking lot. New trees have been planted and the entry arcade landscaped.




The lobby has been done over in dazzling white with fine ceramic finishes. Security handles the front desk. A community room on the ground floor sports a big screen television and tables for groups.

No word yet on the strength of condo sales at Waterfront Tower.

You mentioned that the Mayhood Company is leasing. Correction, the Mayhood Company is the selling agent for the Developers. Please correct your blog.

Looked at the $ numbers on the listings (mid $300s for smallish 1 BR, seems a little bit too high for a remodel, units without W/D in unit and no garage or secured parking available (an outdoor lot with a 6 foot fence and an access gate is not really high security.)

And most of those units will be in for a surprise when the low-income developments across the street on 3rd are demolished and another 5 year construction project begins.

But who knows, the market has "bottomed", right?

Are there plans to demolish the low income housing? I hadn't heard of that.

We have not heard of any plans for this. However, we are sure that the community in SW is keeping an eye on the Hope VI funded Capitol Quarter Townhouses that EYA is constructing in SE and thinking how this might be a possibility in SW. Details can be found on jdland and in The Southwester.

I called MRIS and the September 17th post is a mistake. It is a referring to another building.
