I drove by at 10:15 am and there were six DC government trucks on site and about a dozen workers.
Someone pushed a button somewhere and things are finally getting done!
Yay--I saw them, too, working away at at about 1 p.m. Now let's hope the ducks return.
Thank you SWDC Blog! Thank you Tommy Wells!
June 15 update: I walked by the park today, and it looked pretty good. The water has been restored and the fountains are gushing. Several people, probably teachers at Amidon, were relaxing on the benches eating lunch in a pleasant setting. Now, all we need is the return of the ducks. Thanks to everyone responsible for this miracle.
