WTOP.com reports that testing will begin for ferry service on the Potomac next week for three days which will include two stops on the Southwest Waterfront. Officials hope to evaluate customer interest in timetables and connections.
Once again, supporters of a new idea are looking to federal stimulus money to fund the necessary infrastructure docks and parking lot construction. No word on how this would fit in with development plans on the Waterfront or how the test program will work.

The phone number WTOP listed for signing up to participate in the ferry trial doesn't work. It says the number has been disconnected.
