Southwest's Newest Memorial in Finalists' Round

Four finalists have been chosen to design a national memorial to President Dwight D. Eisenhower just off the National Mall on Maryland Avenue in Southwest accoding to a Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission press release. The finalists are Frank Gehry, Peter Walker, Krueck Sexston, and Rogers Marvel. None of the finalists are local. A final pick will be made in March. The memorial will be in front of the Department of Education, and hopefully better the dismal view of that building.
